Joe Jacoby was a walk on for the Washington Redskins in 1981. He ended up playing in four Super Bowls and winning three. Joe Jacoby, Russ Grimm, Jeff Bostic and Don Warren defied football history as the only four constants in four Super Bowls with three different quarterbacks and three different running backs. They were the legendary HOGS and they represent some of the magic pre 93 players brought to football fans.
Hear more of his story here:
Unfortunately players like Jacoby and his brethren, were disenfranchised from the NFLPA family in 1993. Their pension amount was frozen in time, to an era when gas cost $1.19 a gallon and a loaf of bread was 50 cents.
FAIR is standing up for pension reform. We’re asking the players’ union, to acknowledge the pre 93 contributions in actions, not words, and take their pensions off the ice block in 2021.
